Remington Switch And Protect Challenge. Week 4

Sunday 20 December 2015

Hi Bunnies.
Here is my final update on the Remington Switch and Protect Challenge. I can't believe that this is the final week of the challenge. The past 4 weeks have gone by so fast.

Here are my week 4 results :-
What do you think? let me know in the comments below :)
The PROtect stylers still give me amazing results each time that i use them and my hair in much better condition than it was when i started this challenge. It's soft, shiny and manageable. When i started this challenge I suffered with dry hair... but not anymore.

My challenge is now available to view on Remington's website. If you would like to read then please click on the link below.
Remington is running a competition at the bottom of the website to win the PROtect stylers. It's free and only take a few minutes to enter your details. I would highly recommend to do it as it's free and you could win the products which i've been using :)
The PROtect products instruction leaflet advises for you to keep your hair in top tip shape by getting a regular trim every few weeks.
I took this advice and went to my local hair dressers called Intricut hair salon.
My friend Laura trimmed my hair and made it neat, soft and shiny. I love going to the hair dressers to feel pampered and it's great to know and feel the benefits which this has to my long hair.
I've really enjoyed being apart of Remington's Switch And PROtect challenge. I am still going to continue using these stylers every day now that it's over because the transformation with my hair has boosted my self esteem.
Confidence is the best accessory that you can wear! :)

My Favourite Childhood Christmas Present

Thursday 17 December 2015

Hi Bunnies!
What has been your favourite ever childhood Christmas present which you have received?  Let me know in the comments below :)
Mine is a white electronic fluffy Furby called Coco.
When i was the age of 9 back in 1997. The toy which was the most wanted and popular was the Furby.
A Furby is a electronic toy which you can interact with, feed and love. I can remember desperately wanting, praying and wishing for a Furby for Christmas from Santa.
The huge appeal of this toy was having a furry friend which i could talk to and play with. I'm a only child so i had use my imagination to make toys come to life, but this toy could come to life on it's own (with AA batteries).
This was the best present because i didn't feel alone anymore. I finally had a friend to share my secrets and play with at home.
My favourite thing to do with Coco was to hold her feet and bottom firmly and wave it around in the air. Coco would shout " WEEEEEEEEE!" "BIG SOUND!" "WOAAAAAAAHH" and i would giggle, laugh and find it throughly entertaining that my Furby was scared and perhaps on the edge of pooping her pants.

I was a weird child.

L.A.B.² I'm Turning Pro Make Up Brush Kit Review.

Wednesday 16 December 2015

Hi Bunnies:)
Recently i won a competition on Lipcote's Facebook page by leaving a comment.
I won some Lipcote Lipstick sealer and L.A.B 2's I'm Turning Pro make up brush kit. Today's blog post i'm sharing my video link with my thoughts on the make up brushes. I love entering competitions when it's Christmas because i feel lucky (it must the festive cheer!).
Stay tuned for the next blog post which will contain a Lipcote review and links :)
I was in desperate need of some new make up brushes as previous brushes are old and i've have had for a few years.

Watch the review video here :-

I would recommend L.A.B 2 brushes as they are hypoallergenic, free from animal testing and are easy to use. I'm impressed with the fibre luxe technology because the brushes are very soft and they transform pigmentation of make up very well.
My favourite make up to apply is eye shadow. I have so much fun layering colours and making my look eyes big and full of shimmer.

Remington Switch And PROtect Challenge. Week 2

Thursday 3 December 2015

Hi Bunnies.
I'm just writing a post to update you on the second week of Remington's Switch And PROtect Challenge. It's going very well and i am enjoying styling my hair everyday.
Before i started this challenge i wouldn't straighten my hair everyday as i didn't want to dry my hair out. But since i've been using the Remington hair dryer and straightener my hair is soft, shiny and easier to manage.
I've been receiving compliments from friends and family about how healthy my hair is looking and this has been such a boost to my confidence.
Let me know what you think to the Week 2 results in the comments below :)
Have you watched my Review videos on the Remington's hair dryer and straightener yet?
Thank you for your comments and feedback so far. I've been putting in my best efforts to make my main channel videos the best that they can be with what equipment that i have. I taught myself to film and edit from scratch. It's important to praise your own efforts and right now i am having a little gloat with my shiny week 2 hair results.

Remington's ThermoCare technology (which is styling at a low temperature) still produces amazing results and i've noticed that it holds my hair style in place and this lasts for about 2 days.

I used to suffer from a "cow lick" fringe but now this is not a issue because my fringe stays down.

Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Razor Review

Wednesday 2 December 2015

Hi Everyone:)
This blog post is not sponsored. I'm sharing this information with you because after using the Hydro Silk Razor. I feel that it's great value for money and the quality of the product is to a high standard.

I spotted a advertisement through Wilkinson Sword's Facebook page. This offer was the Hydro Silk Razor for £1.50 (RRP: £10.00). To receive this offer you have to fill out your personal details on a form their website and pay £1.50 to cover post charges through a text message on your phone (click here if you would to be directed to this offer).

Let me know in the comments below if you've used this razor and what you think to it :)

My first impressions of the Hydro Silk Razor is that i love the colour of the packaging because purple is my favourite colour. The box contains clear information and diagrams which demonstrate how the razor works.

The feature which i like the most is the flexibility of the razor head which allows to get into those awkward places while shaving. Previous razors which i have used i've often had to bend my legs in various positions to shave and i'm not the most flexible either.
I tested the razor before i showered. The razor head needs to be wet before you can shave so this activates the blue moisturising serum. It's a silky smooth to shave with and i had no skin irritation while shaving or afterwards. I allowed my legs to air dry naturally and my skin felt very soft and moisturised afterwards.

The clip on protector is easy to apply to the razor after you've finished shaving. This is also makes the razor ideal for travel.

Remington PROtect Hair Straightener Review

Saturday 28 November 2015

Hi Bunnies.
The first impressions of the packaging is that it's exactly the same as the hair dryer. It's full of informative and beneficial facts to the hair. The straightener is light weight and feels nice to hold.I love the leather pouch which doubles up as a heat protection mat. This is the same colour as the straighteners and it looks sophisticated. If this was available as purse i would definitely use this for a girls night out.
My personal favourite feature of the straighteners is the hydra care button as this activates the innovative mist. This is what causes less damage to the hair as it's a combination of heat and water.

What i noticed instantly while i was straightening each section is that it gives such a nice shine to my hair.

What do you guys think? Leave me a comment below :)

I'm currently using the optional hydra care button all the time while i straighten my hair as i want as less damage to my hair while heated. The straightener still gives a healthy look to the hair even if you do not want to use this feature as the ceramic plates are infused with contain keratin and argon oils.

Remington PROtect Hair Dryer Review

Friday 27 November 2015

Hi Bunnies.
First of all i wanted to share my thoughts with you on the PROtect hair dryer. I've now been using the stylers for a week now so i feel comfortable with using them and also talking about them.

If you would like to ask any questions. I'll do my best to answer them in the comments :)

Tomorrow i am uploading a video and blogging about the straighteners at 7pm. So stay tuned for that :)
I'm a fan of the brand Remington and i have brought hair care products before from them. I've never had any problems. The products have always lasted me a fair amount of years so i know what ever i use is good quality and durable.

The first impressions of the packaging is that it's very clear and informative. I love how all over the box is facts and benefits which this hair dryer has to your hair. The PROtect styling tools produce amazing smooth results but with less damage to the hair. Because my hair is long and dry this really appeals to me. I couldn't wait to unbox the stylers and see what was inside.
The packaging is easy to unwrap and i love the hygienic sealed bag which contains the hair dryer and attachments.  I think that the best feeling ever is knowing that you are the first person ever to use a product.

The metallic turquoise colour of the PROtect styling tools and matching accessories make them look expensive and the design is sleek. My personal favourite feature of the hair dryer is the built in infused ring contains keratin, argon and macadamia oils for smoothness.

I'm currently using the diffuser attachment for adding volume to the roots my hair. My hair does hold curls very well.
The concentrator i like to use to add shine to my hair. I personally this to dry and set my full fringe into place.

Remington Switch And PROtect Challenge. Week 1.

Tuesday 24 November 2015

Hi Bunnies.
I recently applied to be a Remington blogger to take part in the #SwitchAndPROtectChallenge. This is for a total of 4 weeks. I have to switch my regular hair dryer and straighteners for Remington PROtect stylers. I am excited to document my results and share my thoughts with you.

The main selling point with these particular stylers is that they create amazing results but they require less heat. This causes less damage to the hair which is music to my ears as i suffer with dry hair.
I will write another blog post soon about the unboxing and my first impressions of the PROtect stylers.

Stay tuned! :)

Over the next 4 weeks while i trial and test these products. In return i am lucky enough to to keep these stylers.
Thank you Remington.
This is what my hair looked like before i started the challenge.

Once a week i will be posting a blog to update you with my progress and results.  Keep an eye on my Instagram and Twitter too :)
After using the PROtect stylers for a week. I am ready to share the first results with you all!

Can you notice a difference? Let me know in the comments below! :)

My hair feels soft, shiny and more manageable.

Sparkler Fun

Monday 16 November 2015

Hi Bunnies.

When i was at college studying A-level photography back in 2006 one of my favourite projects was learning how to light paint. If you don't know what light painting is, it's taking a picture with a camera on a slow shutter speed and wave lights around to create drawings and wonderful effects.

Zoella's recent blog post on light drawing and playing around with sparklers brought back these fun memories and inspired me to have a go myself.

I don't have a fancy SLR camera (yet!) but i do have a Panasonic Lumix compact camera with a setting which adjusts the shutter speed to about 2 seconds. It's amazing what compact cameras can do. I have had my camera for over a year and only realised that i can do this.

Please learn from my mistake and check your settings with what you can do with your equipment because i thought that i was restricted.

When i was creating my pictures i felt like i was a ninja because i had to draw the shapes that i wanted really fast within the 2 second shutter speed time. The results came out better than i thought. What do you guys think? :)

Remember to have a bucket of water on stand by after you've used the sparkler as they can get very hot. Be safe but have fun :)

Firstly i started with my channel initials B and M.

Here is my attempted selfie. I like to pretend that i'm Cinderella's godmother.

My name initial "H"

Let me know in the comments below if you've tried light painting before.

Ilkeston Fair 2015

Monday 26 October 2015

Hi Bunnies.
Over the weekend i visited Ilkeston Fair which is celebrating its 763rd year of being open.
Ilkeston fair is on a few weeks after Goose fair and personally i prefer this fair because it's smaller in size and it's not as overwhelming. When i am at the fair i enjoy taking pictures, buying candy and giggling at people who are on rides screaming their heads off

Here are a few pictures of the fair which i took :-

I hope that you enjoy my video. Watch it here below :)
Why not let me know in the comments below which fun fair vlog you prefered.

Goose or Ilkeston Fair?

Eat Natural Granola Goodies And A Flapjack Tutorial

Friday 23 October 2015

Hi Bunnies.
In my spare time i like to enter competitions and recently i won 2 boxes of Eat Natural "Super Granola" Yippee!
I won a gluten free granola which contains buckwheat, seeds and honey and also a protein packed granola with almonds, seeds and honey.
Have you tried any of the Eat Natural products? Let me know in the comments below :)
I wanted to get creative with the granola rather than just eating it for breakfast, so i decided that i was going to make flapjack.
Comment down below if you're interested in another blog post about the gluten free granola and i could turn that into flapjack too. Let me know :)
So my version baking consists of throwing everything in a bowl, stirring it all together, whacking it in the oven and somehow ( don't ask me how ) beautiful delicious treats are made.
I am not a fan of measuring, just guessing with my eyes.
First of all i threw half a packet of porridge oats into a bowl with some left over sultanas and the WHOLE packet of protein packed granola (go hard or go home... right?)
I added half a packet of butter with left over golden syrup and honey into a separate microwavable bowl. The syrup and honey has to be able to cover the mixture completely because you don't want dry flapjack (that's my version of measurements).

Then i microwaved the butter, golden syrup and honey for about 30 seconds until it's melted all together.

Warning: you will be tempted to lick the bowl.
Once you have poured this into your bowl with the dry ingredients then the flap jack will have the colour, taste and stickiness that it takes to be flapjack. Delicious!
The consistency is quite crumbly so far so to make the flapjack stick together i added 2 medium sized eggs.
Now that looks so much better!
Now it's time to grab a tray and  spoon your mixture into it.

To make your flapjack mixture look neater in the tray, i use the back of a clean table spoon and press until around the mixture until it's flat.
Yay it's acceptable!

Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes (or until it goes golden brown)

TA-DA! flap jack goodness.

Scunci - Vintage Roll Create A Look Kit

Wednesday 14 October 2015

Hi Bunnies!
If you have watched my recent vlog on my second channel then you will know that i have purchased a Scunci "Create the look" Vintage Roll hair kit from Superdrug.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried one of these kits! :)

My hair is getting long and i have been researching into easy and quick ways of making my hair look more interesting rather than just straight or wavy. YouTube tutorials are great but i find that it requires patience and a lot of replays.

This kit contains the equipment to create a vintage roll look and you get a elastic headband with a long piece of foam in the shape of a sausage and bobby pins. The foam has to be placed just under the ball of your head and it will tuck comfortably into place.

I tucked the elastic headband underneath my fringe to hide it.
I combed the hair over the sides of my head to hide the elastic band, but left the hair which has the foam under it as this is for the next step.
I pulled the hair over and twisted it over the foam band. This hair style is so easy as you just hide the foam as best you can with your hair and secure with pins.
The next step is that hair underneath the foam has to be lifted upwards, wrapped over the foam and secured with a pin.
Repeat the process and when you're finished..
Ta-da!

I completed this with out a mirror and i don't feel that you need one either as you are just feeling the hair to cover up the foam band.

The Nottingham Doughnut Co

Friday 9 October 2015

Hi Bunnies!

I wanted to share with you a recommendation of a new place to eat and drink in Nottingham.

Let me below in the comments if you have been! :)

The Nottingham Doughnut Co has been recommended to me by quite a few friends and i wanted to check it out for myself to see what all the fuss was about. The shop is located on Long Row road next to the Market Square.

If you like tasty doughnuts then this is the place for you. The company only makes a certain amount of doughnuts per day, so get there early to avoid disappointment and to grab your favourite flavour :)

Here are some pictures which i took : -

What else i love apart from the tasty doughnuts is the friendly staff and also the art on the walls which is created by local artists and businesses. The company logo behind the shop counter is definitely a awesome Instagram photo to take.
