My 29th Birthday

Monday 30 January 2017

Hi everyone
It's my 29th Birthday today. I wanted to share a few thoughts with you about what I've learnt so far in my life.

1. It's OK Not To Have Your Life Figured Out.

I think that there is pressure from society to have your whole life figured out in your late 20's such as settling down with a partner, having children and buying a property. I don't have everything figured out yet at 29 years old and that's OK. Do things in your own time and not because society tells you.

2. Friends Come And Go

Friends will come and go throughout your life and but only a special few will stay.

3. Actions Speak Louder Than Words

If you want to know how someone really feels about you then judge from their actions, not words. I'm a typical Aquarius horoscope. I am an observer and i know more than i let on.

4. Always Keep An Emergency Bottle Of Wine And Chocolate In The Kitchen Cupboard

For special occasions like today (haha) or just any day of the week where you need a treat.

5. You Are Never Too Old To Start Working Towards Your Dreams

I've been creating videos and blogs for 3 years. I don't plan to give up anytime soon. I work towards my goals every day :) even it's just for half an hour as it all helps towards the bigger picture.

6. You Can Do It

As part of my New Year's Resolution (I mentioned this in my 2016 video. Watch below in case you missed it), I said that I wanted to meet more people and expand my social circle.
Well, my New Years resolution is going very well. I am interacting more on all my social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. I also joined a social meet up group and I went to my very first gathering last weekend. I really enjoyed it. I felt so proud of myself because I had put it off for a long time due to nerves. My YouTube channel has helped me with my confidence and communication skills. You can do anything that you set your mind to.

Now it's time for me to sign off and eat birthday cake.

Talk to you soon :)

Decluttering My Wardrobe

Monday 23 January 2017

Hi everyone

I think it's great to reorganise and reevaluate your wardrobe every couple of months to check and see if the clothes that you own still express you as an individual.

I thought it was time to reassess my clothes and filter through which do not flatter my figure or remind me of negative situations which i've been in while i've worn a certain item.

Fashion should make you feel positive and confident. It should not drag you down or make you feel unworthy.

This is part of the reason of why i studied fashion Design at University because I love and i'm fascinated by creative expression. I want how i feel on the inside to reflect what clothes i wear on my body.

Does your current wardrobe express how you feel? let me know in the comments below or on Twitter.

I Was On MySpace In 2007

Thursday 12 January 2017

Hi everyone.
Last night i went up in the loft and stumbled across computer disks with pictures on from my MySpace account back in 2007. I knew instantly that this would make a hilarious video for my YouTube channel.
The social networking site MySpace.com was the most popular website for my age group to be on at the time between the years 2005 to 2007.
I found it difficult to express myself when i was a teenager so I thought that MySpace was good outlet to be able to express myself through taking angled selfies, customising my profile and music.
My profile music was always either Panic At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, The Kooks or Green Day.
Watch the video of my embarrassing MySpace photos below :)
Enjoy!

Living Life My Own Way

Monday 9 January 2017

I wanted to share some of my own rules that i live by and if this inspires you to make healthy changes in your life then that's a bonus.

Let's begin with....
  • Cruelty free beauty options
It's surprising how many beauty companies still test on animals to this present day. I think that it's absolutely disgusting that this still exists. I'll name a few who still test on animals Mac cosmetics, L'oreal, Estee Lauder, Revlon and Maybelline.

If you are interested in going cruelty-free with beauty or want more information then I would recommend following Cruelty-Free Kitty check out her blog as she is the person who inspired me to make this change.

I maybe one person but I have the ability to make a difference so i buy the cruelty free option when i can when it comes to beauty products. I think that what you buy with your money speaks volumes. This does not just apply to beauty this applies to everything that you have to buy with money.

Watch my cruelty free make up collection video below.
  • I Am My Own Best Friend
Because at the end of the day, you only have yourself. If you are your own best friend then you will never feel alone. I have inside jokes with myself and sometimes I laugh out loud with how funny I am. I also feel that the more self-love that I give myself the more I am able to give to other people.
  • The Vegetarian Option
Since I was a child I've never been a massive meat fan, however, i'm not going to feel guilty about eating it if I want too occasionally. I opt for the vegetarian option most of the time because i prefer it.
  • Water Is Life
I always start my day with a large glass of water to wake my organs up. I drink water whenever I can because my skin always looks better and i always feel good in my body.
What are your rules that you live by? let me know in the comments below :)

Superdrug Extracts Shampoo And Conditioner Recommendation

    Saturday 7 January 2017

    Hi everyone
I'm recommending 2 products today which is Superdrug's Extracts Soothing Shampoo and Conditioner with Aloe Vera & Mango. This is usually £2.29 but it's currently on offer at 89p at the moment.
All of Superdrugs own brand of products are cruelty free. Look for the leaping rabbit logo on the back of their products which says "Cruelty-Free International".
The shampoo and conditioner smells amazing. Mango is one of my favourite scents. After i've used these products my hair looks shiny and feels soft. This has not caused any irriration to my sensitive skin.
Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any Superdrugs shampoos or conditioners.

    Hayley
