E.l.f Lip Exfoliator Sweet Cherry Review

E.l.f Lip Exfoliator Sweet Cherry Review
In 2016 E.l.f cosmetics was only available in the US and to order online from their website. But as of May this year they are available in the UK as they are sold online at Superdrug. Hooray!

So let's take a look at the Elf Sweet Cherry Lip Exfoliator. This was gifted to me by Preen.Me in exchange for my honest opinion, product use and for their #luxuryforall competition. I will explain later in the blog what the competition is all about.
My first impression is that the packaging is sleek. I like the simple instructions on the back of how to use the product. I love that it's labelled as recycable and against animal testing.

When I opened the packaging and held the exfoliator in my hand. It feels ideal for travel size and to pop in your hand bag on the go. The bullet swivels up and down exactly like a lipstick. I love how it's mess free.

I love the light baby pink colour of Sweet Cherry. If you have been following me for a long time then you will know that I am obsessed with light pink lip colours.

The exfoliator smells like candy but it doesn't taste of anything when applied. When exfoliating your lips it applies clear.

You can find the E.l.f. Lip Exfoliators here on E.l.f.’s website. The Lip Exfoliators are £4.50 each, which is a great price.Have you tried any of the E.l.f. Lip Exfoliators before? Let me know in the comments below.

The lip exfoliator removes dry and chapped skin. It is filled with sweet sugar and makes your lips feel smooth. It's infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils to nourish the lips.
The directions on the packaging are to apply to clean damp lips, massage in a circular motion to exfoliate. Then use a damp cool cotton wool pad to gently wipe away the scrub. Then follow with your regular lip gloss, oil or balm.
My lips feel lovely and smooth. I would definetely recommend this product.

The competition is #luxuryforallchallenge which is makeup look competition  partnered with Superdrug. This is a amazing chance to win a £250 superdrug voucher. I would love to win and if i did then I would write so many reviews on Elf cosmetics and cruelty-free beauty products for you all.

I had to apply to take part in the competition. I succeeded and Preen.Me had sent E.l.f products to 600 applications. I was lucky enough to picked to be able to enter the competition. To support my make up look then why not head over to my Instagram page or click below.

Destructive Thoughts As A Plus-Size Woman And Self Love

18:13 2
Destructive Thoughts As A Plus-Size Woman And Self Love
Hi everyone.

I think that it's important to love yourself no matter what shape or size you are.
My journey of self love is still ongoing and some days it's really difficult for me to accept myself and how body is. I'm trying to break out of social media and societys conditioning of looking "perfect" (whatever that is)

Recently I read a article on http://www.revelist.com/body-positive/most-destructive-fat-girl-thoughts/6207 about 11 most destructive thoughts every plus-size girl has.

I found myself nodding and agreeing to 3 particular thoughts in the article which I wanted to share my thoughts on.
5. "I hope no one is grossed out by me in this tank top"

Summer is here and I don't particularly like wearing tank tops in public because I do not like my upper arms because I have Keratosis pilaris. I find it difficult to not wear a cardigan or a shrug to cover them. I have been taking it slowly by wearing off the shoulder dresses which only cover the very tops of my arms. My goal is not to wear any cardigans when the weather is nice. If you are following me on Twitter then you will know that recently I wore a tank top without a cardigan when it was 28 degrees outside at the weekend. Progress :)
9. "I will wait until i go home and eat. I don't want anyone to think that I eat alot"

I don't enjoy eating infront of people and if I chose to do so it's because I feel comfortable with the people who I am with. When I started going to bloggers events the end of last year I didn't eat because I was scared of being judged for it. But when I went to the Lush Bloggers Event Nottingham  last month. I had made so much progress as I ate a doughnut infront of everybody and it tasted delicious. Food offered at parties or events are meant to be enjoyed. I don't want to miss out just because of the insecurites in my mind.

10. "I Feel Fat"
Fat isn't a feeling but it's a thought in your mind. A negative voice which tries to disrupt my happiness and make me feel unworthy. What helps is finding the trigger of when I feel fat and  use positive affirmations to drown out the negative voice.

How I Overcome My Body Issues
What really helps me personally to overcome my body issues is......
  •  Knowing that my body loves me no matter what. My body is always loving me and keeping me alive. It protects and heals me 24/7.
  • Throwing out scales. I haven't got on a pair of scales in about 4 years. It's the best thing I've ever done. Numbers do not define my value as a person
  • Picking one thing which you like about yourself everyday
  • Forget the diet. Diets do not work for me so why should I keep trying at something which makes me feel miserable and results in me eating more.
  • Using positive affirmations such as "I am worthy" "I am beautiful" "I love my body and it loves me"
  • Accepting my body no matter what weight it is. Numbers on the scales do not define me.
Let me know in the comments below if you have had any self destructive thoughts with your body and how you overcome them.

Superdrug's Mango & Coconut Shower and Bath Soak

Superdrug's Mango & Coconut Shower and Bath Soak
Yesterday afternoon I visited my local Superdrug as I wanted to purchase a shower gel which is going to be my summer scent for this year. If I can't be on a tropical island right now for my summer holidays then I will smell like one instead.

What caught my eye was Superdrug's new range of shower & bath soaks currently on offer at £1.47 (usually £2.99) for 500ml of product. It's fantastic value for money. I love products which are good value and will last a long time.

6 scents are available in the range which is Rhubarb and Custard, Salted Caramel, Raspberry and Vanilla, Ginger and Honey, Avocado and Strawberry and Mango & Coconut. To look at the range on Superdrug's website click here.

I brought the Mango & Coconut Shower and Bath soaks as it was my favourite scent avaliable.

All of Superdrug own brand of products are cruelty-free as they have a leaping bunny logo on the back of the packaging. These products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
The simple and colourful packaging reminds me of the brand I love...'s bath range which is also sold at Superdrug.

The shower and bath soak are kind to skin and it smells really nice. I would recommend for you to try it.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried these shower and bath soaks. What is your favourite scent out of the range?:)

The Importance Of Rest

The Importance Of Rest
In today's society, we are expected to be constantly on the go. Have you felt guilty of taking a minute out of your day just to do nothing? I have.
Resting is in total opposition to society’s obsession with achieving. Rest can really be hard for many of us to do.

I'm currently taking a break from YouTube and apart of me feels guilty for it because I think that it will slow my process towards the goals that I want to achieve.

I've realised that this is not true. I shouldn't feel guilty for taking a break if I feel that I need one. It's not going to hinder my process. I will still reach my goals however I will not burn my body out in the process. I'm currently thinking about my next move and where I want to go next.

The importance of rest is to recharge your physical body even if your mind goes at a million miles per hour like mine does.

So please give yourself permission to rest for a moment and do not feel guilty for it.

Let me know in the comments below how you like to rest.

I love watching Netflix, watering my plants (I've got basil, parsley and rocket growing in the garden) drawing, naps are fantastic too.
