January Essentials

Saturday 20 January 2018

Fancy beating the January blues? well I've decided to share with you my January Essentials to help put a smile on your face.
The products which I use in the month of January are for extra self-care because I find this month a little depressing. All I want to do is hibernate in my bed, watch movies and eat an unlimited amount of snacks.
I like to choose products which will help me get through the month by cheering myself up. I'm a fan colourful packaging and fruity scents.
In the winter months, I am more of a bath person. I love having a nice long hot soak in the tub to relax and warm up my body from the harsh cold weather outside. However, submerging your body in hot water for too long is not great for your skin as it dries it out. I like to go for a moisturising bath soak or foam to keep my skin moisturized. Which leads to my first January Essential,
Baylis & Harding Beauticology Tropical Cocktail Bathfoam
For Christmas, I got gifted a 400ml bottle of Baylis & Harding Beauticology Tropical Cocktail Bath Foam. Baylis & Harding are cruelty-free as their products are made in the UK. I've been using this since Christmas and I like the fruity tropical scent as it reminds me of beach holidays and tropical islands.  The bath foam contains shea butter which is moisturising to the skin. The packaging has beautiful paintings of fruit which are bright and eye-catching. I'm currently enjoying using this in my bathtub.
Dunelm's Coconut & Vanilla Scented Candle
What makes an excellent pairing with a bath? Candles
I also got gifted for Christmas a Coconut & Vanilla Scented Mason Jar Candle from Dunelm. The light scent of tropical and sweet scent adds a nice touch to my tropical paradise bubble bath experience. I like how when you have finished using the candle then you have a nice mason glass jar to drink out of. It's got 10 hours burning time so if I start using it now then I can use it to drink out of by March. For some reason, it takes me a long time to use up candles. Is anybody else the same? let me know in the comments below.
Disney's "Moana" DVD
If you need a film to watch which makes you feel good then I would definitely watch Disney's "Moana". It'a wonderful story about a young 16-year-old girl called Moana who goes on an ocean voyage with Maui. The music in the film is superb as it's catchy to sing-along to. Especially the song "You're welcome" as it will be stuck in your head for months.

What are your January essentials? let me know in the comments below. I'm always looking for inspiration.

  1. I love the sound of the tropical bath foam, I'm a lover of fruity scents, so this sounds right up my street! x
