How To Take Care Of Your Skin In Summer

Monday 11 June 2018

Having a simple skin care routine works wonders for your complexion. How do you find products which work best for you in the summer months?  Let me know in the comments below.
There’s so much to consider when it comes to what we put on our skin. Cleansers, moisturisers, toners, exfoliators, serums and products that target problem areas. It's important to apply Sun factor and SPF applications throughout the day during the summer. This stops skin damage and slows down the ageing process. Using a facial steamer can help with problem areas.
I find that what works best for me in the summer months is facial steaming at least once a week because it’s a natural way to open up your pores and get rid of the pesky blackheads particularly on the t-zone. I find putting my face into a steamer instantly calming and relaxing. Choosing my aromatherapy scent which happens to be lavender helps me to sleep at night.

I’m going to be sharing with you my skincare routine and recommending cruelty free products which I am using this summer. First of all I’d recommend getting yourself a good facial SPF moisturiser.
I’d recommend trying The Body Shop  Skin Defence SPF 50 moisturiser. It’s a light weight moisturiser which absorbs into the skin quickly.
The skin on your face is different to your body. Make sure you use a different sunscreen. For my body I use the Wilko suncream SPF 50 for £1.50. I like it because it’s budget friendly and travel size.
To take off my make up I use Boots Baby Oil and Sainsbury's cotton wool balls because they are gentle on the skin. The hot weather can make our skin dry so I like to use baby oil. If it’s good enough for newborn babies then it’s good enough for me.
Recently in my latest video I brought a packet of West Lab Himalayan salts as I've been reading about how the minerals are beneficial to your skin. I've bathed with the salts and they have made my skin smooth and soft. Recommended.
In the summer months for my skincare routine it’s important what we put in our bodies too. Drinking enough water and having a healthy and balanced diet. I like to drink Ahmad green tea and iced tea.
