November Update

Thursday 15 November 2018

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with you an update of all of the videos that I have posted over the past couple of months. Subscribe today to never miss an upload.
A Tour Of My Brain was inspired by Amazing Phil who created this idea back in 2014. I decided to make my own version. I drew and painted my brain masterpiece using a combination of markers and watercolours.
The next video that I filmed was a review on a pair of Modi Bodi knickers (not paid, in exchange for a review). I wanted to talk about periods and coping with them. Modi Bodi are a company which make period underwear which do not  require you not to wear any tampons or pads.
For Halloween I wanted to make a spooky video. I was browsing Google for ideas and I spotted a  funny quiz about "Who were you in a past life?" I'm a very open minded person and I do believe in past lives, alternative universes and aliens. I decided to give it ago and I learnt that i'm actually a princess from 1578. It figures because I long for a life of luxury wearing fancy dresses and going to parties.
Moving onto my cosy Autumn vlog which includes walking amongst the trees, having a go at pumpkin carving (with my own Bunny Moonstone design) and my contribution for  bonfire night which was waving a couple of sparklers around in the garden and managing to fall over
several times.  I'm sure there's wonderful bonfire night and firework videos on YouTube but I like to keep things simple.
I've watched and been a fan of the TV show Room 101 on BBC for many years. I'd thought that if I can't be a contestant on the show then I'll make my own YouTube version instead.
Let me know what you think of my choice of what I put into Room 101 in the comments below.

Max & More Maximum Volumizing Mascara Review

Thursday 8 November 2018

Hi everyone
I visited my local Home Bargains recently and I found a budget friendly cruelty free make up range called Max & More. All of their products retail at 99p which is very affordable.
They have a wide range of make up on offer to buy. There were lipsticks, lipglosses, face powder, mascara and eyeshadows.
I thought that I would try the maximum volumizing mascara as I had run out of my staple mascara which is the Soap And Glory "Thick & Fast" mascara. For 99p I thought that it's worth giving it a go.
The Max and More mascara has a rubber multi functional brush for an oversized lash effect and it comes in black sleek packaging with white and rose gold lettering. My first impressions are that I don't think it looks budget friendly at all. I think it looks quite sophisticated. The mascara design is reminds me of Max Factor which is a brand that I don't use anymore as they unfortunately test on animals.
On the back of the packaging it has a bunny logo to confirm that it's cruelty free which I love.
I like how the bottle and the wand come separately so if you wanted to use a different brush then you can. When I applied the mascara for the first time I noticed there is various sizes of bristles around the wand to capture every single lash. You have to find which section of the brush suits you.  I used the smaller bristles as the big bristles transfered the formula onto my face.
The wand is thick and easy to hold when applying the formula.
I'm impressed with the formula because it lengthens and thickens the lashes very well.  What I notice when using cheaper mascaras is that the formula can feel quite sticky and irritable to my eyes. This formula feels very comfortable to wear. There is no transfer onto my face after wearing it for a couple of hours. Success!
Overall I think it's a great mascara for the price and I'd recommend it.
I'd like to try more Max & More products in the future. It's important to support brands like these so that they make more products and expand their range.

My Top 5 Fun Days Out In Nottingham

Tuesday 11 September 2018

Are you looking for some fun activities to do in Nottingham? Well here are my personal top 5 fun days out along with a video for each one so you can get a sample of what each experience is like.
5.Wollaton Hall and Deer Park
Just past the QMC about 4 miles out of Nottingham you can explore Wollaton Park and it's grounds. This beautiful building has stunning grounds and wildlife. There are cafe and toilet facilities which are on site near the hall. It is great for walks or picnics. Also, when it snows it's a fun place to go sledging.
4.Arboretum Park
The Arboretum Park is an exquisite park full of wonderful trees, plants and water features. It's got a nice little friendly cafe with outdoor seating. The Arboretum holds events such as the Green Festival. Which I'd like to attend again this year. It's handy to get to because it's in central Nottingham on the tram route.
3.University Of Nottingham - Highfield's Park
This has a boating lake, crazy golf area and children's play park. The lake is calming and relaxing to walk around. There is limited free parking and also it is on the tram route. If it's raining then check out the gallery and exhibitions.
2.Lanes Garden Centre & Open Farm
On the outskirts of Nottingham in Breaston. Lanes Garden Centre & Open Farm is a lovely little farm with animals to visit and a shop to buy local produce.
1.White Post Farm
I liked feeding the animals and had fun on the pedal go karts. There are plenty of activities to do such as feeding the baby lambs, watching chicks being born, animal handling and more.
If you decide to visit any of these places then why not leave a comment or tweet at me @Bunnymoonstone on Twitter.

Hayley

Trying On Autumn Clothes

Wednesday 5 September 2018

Are you looking for some autumn style inspiration? Well, you've come to the right place. I recently browsed around the city centre to see and try on the plus size autumn fashion that's available at this time of year. Find out by watching my video below :)
On this trip I visited New Looks and Dorothy Perkins. Some garments I liked, others I didn't and I also got stuck in a few as I was trying them on as they didn't fit (haha). I wanted to make this video to show what clothes like on a real person rather than on a mannequin or model. I'm 5ft 9 and a size 16/18. I have curves, scars, wobbly parts and cellulite. I'm loving the body positive community at the moment on Instagram. Diet culture and the media seem to only think that one type of body shape is acceptable. It's not true because all bodies are wonderful and they should be celebrated.
I'd love to make more videos trying clothes on so if you would like more then let me know by hitting the thumbs up button on the video or comment below to let me know to make a part 2. There's a world of clothes out there waiting for me to try on. What shops do you think I should visit next? Let me know in the comments below. I've missed a few shops such as Yours Clothing (I thought it was shut but actually it's moved upstairs.. oopsies!), Debenhams and Marks & Spencer.

What Happened In June

Monday 16 July 2018

June was a busy month and I wanted to share with you what I got up too. First I filmed a 10 Random Facts About Me video to help you get to know me better. I love sharing quirky facts.
I wrote a How To Take Care Of Your Skin In Summer post which shares the way that I look after my skin in the summer months. I get asked quite often what cruelty free make up and skincare that I use so it was nice to share my favourite picks.
Rubs Smoke House Nottingham invited me to the opening of their new Brownie And Ice Cream Parlour and it was fun to try some of the flavours. I'd like to visit again in the near future.
I really enjoy making quiz videos and my friend recommended me the "16 personalities test" to try and film. Which personality type are you? let me know in the comments below.
I filmed a daily vlog of shopping trip into Nottingham (as voted for by my Instagram followers) and a few of the make up items featured in a June Favourites post.
And last but not least I visited Nottingham Castle before it shuts down for a 2 year transformation. I will be making a return visit to film and show you the changes. I wonder where I'll be in life when i'm 32.

I recently brought a Google Chromecast through Latest Deals to stream all of my favourite media content to my computer, TV and phone. Barry M All Night Long Foundation Stick In The Shade "Milk"
The first favourite of the month is the Barry M All Night Long Foundation stick which is retailed at £6.99.As someone who has a porcelain skin tone I sometimes struggle with finding the right colour match. Barry M have released more shades of foundation and concealer this year which is great.
The lightest shade is "Milk" is a compatible match for me. The All Night Long Foundation applies smoothly to the skin. It has a light weight and creamy formulation which doesn't clog pores. I like to use Sainsbury's latex free sponges to blend it out after application. The foundation is medium coverage so if you have blemishes to hide then I would recommend the Barry M All Night Long Concealer (£4.99) which was featured in my May Favourites blog post. The foundation is 100% vegan. It's rich in vitamin E and paraben free. This stick can also be used to contour and highlight. I like the sleek packaging of black matte and rose gold.
I brought the Barry M All Night Long Foundation when I went shopping recently watch the video above on my YouTube Channel.
 Collection Glam Crystals Eyeshadow Palette
Collection glam crystal eyeshadow palette is retailed for £4.99 which is a bargain for 6 beautiful shimmery pigmented eyeshadows. That equals to 83p per shade. If you use a wet eyeshadow brush rather than a dry brush it intensifies the colour. This is how I have swatched the colours on the back of my hand to show you. My favourite colours are the first 3 from the left. I love pinks and purples. I created a eyeshadow look combining them all together and this is how it turned out.
What do you think to my look? Have you tried any of these products?
Let me know in the comments below.

Brownie And Ice Cream Parlour Launch At Rub Smoke House Nottingham

Wednesday 13 June 2018

On Tuesday 12th June I was invited to Rub Smoke House & Bar In Nottingham to the launch of their new brownie and ice cream bar. With over 25 different flavours of ice cream to try (and 3 flavours of gelato for those who require a dairy free option). I think there is something to suit everyone's taste however I would like to see more vegan options in the future.
Rub Smoke House & Bar host weekly bottomless evenings. Customers pay a set price to consume however much as they like within 2 hours. Before I indulged into the brownies and ice cream I sampled a main hot buffet which was a selection of buffalo cauliflower, mini pulled pork bbq burgers, fries, chicken tenders and fries.
Then it was onto the brownie bar. The brownies are from Brownie Heaven and they are the best I've ever tasted.
On the first round I tried the blondie brownie with salted caramel ice cream and white chocolate sauce. Delicious. Recommended.
Then for the second round I tried a rum brownie with honey comb ice cream and white chocolate sauce. Yum!
Unfortunately I didn't manage to try all of the brownies and ice creams on offer as I got full quickly.
However I will be popping back for another visit in the near future. I think Rub Smoke House & Bar is a great hot spot in Nottingham. Let me know in the comments below if you have visit the ice cream bar. Tweet at me @Bunnymoonstone what flavours you try.
